While no one is exactly sure when and where tarot cards originated,the oldest surviving deck dates back to the 15th century. These decks were at the time only available to people of noble birth an it remained this way until at least the 19thcentury.
Who was responsible for their invention remains a mystery too, but they have links to greek and roman mythology, Kabbalah, Christianity and middle age alchemy.
How they work has also been widely debated. I believe they are tool to answer our subconcious questions. I strive to work for the greater good of all.
While the cards can offer guidance please remember that as human beings we have free will. This means we have the power to change the course of our lives at any point, the cards will only show how you will fare if you follow the exact course you are following now with the same emotions you have at this point.
